These paintings were commissioned by a client in Rancho Sante Fe to complement her white marble indoor swimming pool. I love this project because I had to do research and explore the early the 1900s horticulture paintings. I loved the mood of the paintings because of the light that radiates from within and creates a wonderful warm feeling.

Abuntia

Abuntia is the Goddess of Abundance. This painting was commissioned for a house in Indian Wells, greeting you as you entered the house. The client loved the color red and so this was an opportunity to explore and create paintings that would be uplifting and cheerful. This first painting was influenced by the Mexican style, accentuating the prosperity and life-giving forces of nature. The beautiful red colors give the painting life and energy.

Volcano

Volcano is a painting greeting you as you enter the house. It is a vessel, or cauldron, holding the energy of fire. The client loved these paintings and, to this day, comments on how much people enjoy them.
